Systems Engineer for Technical Surveillance

Welcome to apply for a position with varied and developing tasks. We are looking for a systems engineer for the implementation of technical surveillance, with a large part of the work in Stockholm and Enköping. The focus is to lead and be responsible for the implementation of central IT systems and surveillance systems for technical surveillance within the Swedish Armed Forces. The position belongs to a department organizationally placed at the Systems Unit within the Armed Forces' Telecommunications and Information Systems Command (FMTIS) and works with assignments from the Armed Forces Headquarters. The assignments are carried out in development phase, installation phase, production phase, and central system support in the maintenance phase. The assignments are multi-year and are carried out in various projects over time.

Main Responsibilities

The work mainly consists of:

  • Leading and being responsible for the implementation of central IT systems and surveillance systems at the system level throughout the functional chain from sensor to presentation system within Technical Surveillance
  • Working with central IT systems with virtualized IT environments and future cloud services for the Armed Forces' surveillance systems

The Armed Forces are experiencing strong growth, and the tasks may develop over time.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education with a focus on technology or equivalent knowledge that can be assessed as equivalent by the employer
  • Several years of current experience working with IT in server and network structure
  • Several years of current experience working with installation management and documented experience in project management
  • Good knowledge of expressing yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish
  • Driving license B (manual transmission)

DESIRABLE

  • Experience with the Armed Forces' command support systems
  • Experience at the system level throughout the functional chain from sensor to presentation system within the area of Technical Surveillance
  • Experience working with alarm, CCTV, and surveillance systems
  • Experience working with information security and system security
  • Experience with central IT systems with virtualized IT environments
  • Experience with SD-WAN and firewalls
  • Experience with collaborative projects with the industry

Other

Employment type: Permanent civilian employment.
The Armed Forces apply a six-month probationary period for those who are not employed by the authority.
Employment rate: Full-time.
Work location: Enköping.
Business trips may occur.
Start date: As soon as possible.
