FMTIS Operations Unit

As a system technician in the operations unit, you are responsible for the operation of the Swedish Armed Forces' IT systems. Within the section, several system technicians work with different focuses within IT operations. As a system technician, you will primarily work with operations, security, and monitoring. There is also the opportunity to work on various projects. It may also be relevant to travel on system support trips to operational areas abroad.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Academic education with a focus on IT/data or equivalent knowledge assessed as equivalent by the employer
• Several years of experience working as a network system technician or similar
• Good understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN
• Experience managing security solutions such as firewalls and intrusion detection
• Knowledge of LAN, WAN, network architecture
• Experience working with switches, routers, firewalls, and other network devices
• Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Driver's license B

Other

Permanent employment, full-time (six months probationary period applies). Place of employment: Bålsta. Start date according to agreement. Civil position, knowledge tests may be applied. On-call duty and work at other locations may be included in the position.
