IT Technician with a Focus on Client Management

IT-Centrum was established on January 1, 2019, as a joint committee responsible for IT operations in the municipalities of Heby, Knivsta, Tierp, Älvkarleby, and Östhammar. All staff are employed by the host municipality, Tierp.

The location for this position is Tierp, but travel to the other member municipalities is required.

The committee's area of responsibility includes both strategic and tactical issues as well as operational IT activities. We work to create a culture of collaboration between the municipalities and contribute to digital development and IT-related operational initiatives.

IT-Centrum is responsible for the development, installation, operation, support, and management of the five municipalities' shared IT operating systems, IT infrastructure, workplace, and telephony systems. We are in a strong development phase and are now looking for more competent employees. We value technical competence, willingness to change, participation, patience, and a good team spirit.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an IT technician focusing on client management, you will work to ensure a stable and efficient IT environment for our users. The role involves a particular focus on using and developing our tools for client management, CM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager), and Intune.

Examples of job responsibilities:

  • Work with CM for the distribution of operating systems, applications, and updates
  • Manage and administer users and clients via CM and Intune
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software and hardware on users' clients
  • Participate in the development and improvement of routines for client management and lifecycle administration
  • Ensure that the client environment is updated, secure, and follows the organization's guidelines
  • Provide support to users via the ticketing system, remote tools, and on-site when necessary
  • Collaborate with colleagues and suppliers to develop and improve our IT infrastructure

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in technology, who is service-oriented and enjoys problem-solving. You are communicative and can explain solutions in a pedagogical and patient manner.

To succeed in this role, we see that you:

  • Have documented experience working with CM and Active Directory to manage client environments, user accounts, and permissions.
  • Have experience in script development and automation in PowerShell.
  • Have experience with updates and maintenance of modern versions of Windows.
  • Have experience with M365 services such as Exchange Online, Entra ID, and Intune.
  • Are engaged, flexible, and service-oriented.
  • Have a good ability to prioritize and manage multiple active cases simultaneously.
  • Can express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish.
  • Have a valid driver's license (B).
