We are now looking for a Software Engineer with a drive to learn more within Life Science. As a Software Engineer with us, you will strengthen one of our existing software teams within R&D Downstream Software at Cytiva's site in Uppsala. The team develops software for controlling and monitoring our chromatography systems used in biomedical research and pharmaceutical production.

In the role of Software Engineer, you will work alongside your team members in an agile development environment where you will contribute to both new development and maintenance of existing products. You will bring valuable software development skills to the team and have close, cross-functional collaboration with colleagues from other areas such as systems engineers, UX specialists, application specialists, hardware developers, and product managers.

As a Software Engineer, you will be involved in the entire development process, from requirements management, implementation, and testing to verification. We use automated unit testing and strive for test-driven development (TDD).

Your responsibilities include:

• Analyzing, designing, and developing new features in our products.
• Developing software components in C#/.NET.
• Writing technical documentation.
• Supporting our customer support team with technical expertise and participating in technical investigations.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university degree, preferably MSc, in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in software development and strong knowledge of C#/.NET.
• Experience or curiosity about various types of leadership roles.
• Fluent communication skills in both spoken and written Swedish and English.

It is a plus if you also have previous experience with:

• UNICORN (in-house developed software platform)
• Industrial fieldbuses, e.g., EtherNet/IP
• Web programming, preferably JavaScript
• Test automation and test-driven development (TDD)
• Product development
• Agile working methods
• Quality systems and long-term quality
