Department of Economics and Governance

The management office of Region Uppsala is part of Region Uppsala, one of the largest employers in Uppsala County. The management office is led by the regional director and consists of approximately one thousand employees. With a governing, supportive, and coordinating role, the management office is tasked with supporting the political leadership and administrations so that the political direction is reflected in the region's various operations. In this way, Region Uppsala can take on its role, both regionally and nationally.

If you want to develop and contribute to the development of Region Uppsala - welcome to work with us!

Our operations:

Region Uppsala has embarked on a comprehensive journey to develop the region's logistical capabilities. As part of this work, the region has established a central Logistics function tasked with ensuring a robust and efficient supply of materials to healthcare through central management.

We are currently in an expansive phase where we will develop and implement a new business system, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and establish a central warehouse in-house. The central warehouse will serve as the hub for the region's material supply to healthcare and will be an important part of the region's investment in increased supply readiness. Microsoft Dynamics 365 will be a central part of the region's logistics initiative.

Your mission:

The role has a broad technical responsibility for the D365 platform and aims to build and manage the technical part of the D365 solution internally – in close collaboration with the business and external partners. The responsibility includes development, integration, code quality, and DevOps processes.

Today we work with external developers, but now we are taking the next step and looking for someone who wants to build our internal development competence. With us, you will have the opportunity to both develop solutions and take strategic technical responsibility for the platform – from code to integration and DevOps.

With us, you will have the opportunity to combine technical competence with leadership responsibility, and help shape how D365 will be developed, managed, and further developed over time. As our first internal D365 developer, you will:

  • Develop and customize our D365 solution (SCM/FO) according to business needs
  • Be responsible for technical design and code structure
  • Build integrations with other systems via Azure and APIs
  • Establish DevOps processes (CI/CD) and version management
  • Troubleshoot and manage technically complex issues (3rd line)
  • Be the technical counterpart and contact point for our business developers and external partners
  • Eventually participate in building an internal D365 team and long-term ownership.

Your qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in IT/system science or equivalent work experience. Microsoft certifications in D365 and Azure are advantageous.
  • Several years of experience (approximately 5 years or more) in development in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (FO or SCM)
  • Experience with integrations in Azure environments (e.g., Logic Apps, Service Bus, REST APIs)
  • Experience working with Azure DevOps, including pipelines, builds, and deployments.
  • Ability to work closely with the business and translate needs into technical solutions
  • Very good Swedish in speech and writing, as well as good English.

Meritorious:

  • Previously worked with technical leadership, such as technical lead, architect, or mentor.
  • Experience in Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) within D365 or similar business systems.
  • Experience with CI/CD in D365 environments
  • Knowledge of Power Platform, Dataverse, Power BI.
  • Experience with D365 SCM/WMS/TMS.
  • Good knowledge of X++, .NET/C#, JavaScript, and Power Platform (understanding, governance, and quality assurance are more important than daily coding)

Your competence

As a person, you take initiative and start activities that yield results. You take responsibility for your task and drive your processes forward in a structured manner. You are goal- and result-oriented in your work methods and priorities. You remain motivated and keep working, even when obstacles arise, until projects are completed or results are achieved. You master complex issues and have the ability to analyze and solve complicated problems.

You work well with others, are receptive, and resolve conflicts constructively, adapting the way you convey your message to the recipient based on their ability to absorb knowledge. You have the interest, willingness, and ability to help others and strive to deliver solutions.

We offer

  • The opportunity to build something from the ground up – shape our D365 work
  • Influence on technology choices and work processes
  • A workplace with long-term thinking and high ambitions in digitalization
  • Competitive terms and a focus on skills development
