Scrum Product Owner

At the Medical Products Agency, we make a difference together. In life and for life. We work for the health of people and animals, for a better Sweden today and in the future. Are you passionate about requirements management and agile methods? With us, you can combine exactly that with societal benefit and exciting technical challenges.

Our Operations

The IT unit consists of about 115 dedicated employees who together take a holistic approach to the agency's digitalization. We work closely with the operations to deliver accessible, stable, and secure IT support that is beneficial, and we continuously develop our working methods, technology, and tools.

Your Responsibilities

You will be part of an unpretentious and engaged team where we help each other, learn from one another, and celebrate successes together. Currently, the teams are working on both management and new development of solutions based on Oracle Apex and RPA (UIPath).

As a Scrum Product Owner, you have a key role in:

  • Owning and prioritizing the team's backlog
  • Capturing, analyzing, and translating business needs into user stories and requirements
  • Ensuring traceability between needs, requirements, and deliveries in the agile development team
  • Being responsible for the team applying and developing agile methods, including effective backlog refinements, sprint planning, and retrospectives
  • Co-planning with other teams for joint delivery planning, with primary responsibility for coordination and prioritization

Your Background

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Post-secondary education in IT, system science, or equivalent experience that the employer considers equivalent
  • Several years of relevant experience in requirements work and/or product ownership
  • Experience facilitating meetings and workshops, preferably in roles such as Requirements Leader, Scrum Master, or Product Owner
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience with software development and architectural requirements within government, life sciences, or medical technology
  • Experience with low-code technologies such as Oracle Apex or RPA
  • Familiarity with tools like Azure DevOps or similar for backlog management and sprint planning
  • Experience with quality management systems and regulatory processes such as GAMP5 or ISO 9001
  • Certification in requirements management, such as IREB CPRE.

Your Personal Qualities

You are a confident and experienced leader who works in a structured and analytical manner, with a good ability to make decisions and set clear priorities based on the needs of the organization. You thrive in cross-functional teams and see collaboration as a prerequisite for achieving common goals.

You are communicative and attentive, and you easily build trust and create consensus among different stakeholders, even when perspectives and needs differ.

We place great importance on personal qualities.
