The IT unit at the Medical Products Agency is now looking for a Requirement Leading Scrum Product Owner for a newly established group within system development. In this role, you will have a central position in our ongoing business development with a focus on the digitalization of the Medical Products Agency's mission within medical technology, an area that is growing rapidly and has great significance for quality, safety, and efficiency in healthcare. Here you will have the opportunity to influence working methods, solutions, and collaboration from start to delivery in close dialogue with both the business and IT.
Our Operations
The IT unit consists of about 115 dedicated employees who together take a comprehensive approach to the authority's digitalization. We work closely with the business to deliver accessible, stable, and secure IT support that is useful, and we are constantly developing our working methods, technology, and tools.
Your Responsibilities
The Requirement Leading Scrum Product Owner is responsible for translating the business needs into prioritized and testable IT requirements and managing and prioritizing the development team's backlog. The role coordinates the agile team's work and ensures that deliveries create business value.
In this role, you will:
- Capture, analyze, and translate business needs into clear and prioritized requirements.
- Own and prioritize the team's backlog.
- Coordinate and support the agile team's work through effective backlog reviews (refinement), sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Follow up on deliveries and ensure that development occurs with a focus on business value, quality, and long-term sustainability.
- Work both strategically and operationally, actively contributing to shaping the team's working methods and deliveries.
Your Background
We are looking for someone who has:
- Post-secondary education in IT, systems science, or equivalent experience as assessed by the employer.
- Several years of relevant experience in requirements management and/or product ownership.
- Several years of experience working with and developing agile teams.
- Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
It is advantageous if you have:
- Knowledge in healthcare, medical technology, and/or public services.
- Knowledge of UX methodology and experience in creating user-centered solutions.
- Certification as a Product Owner, in requirements management or project management.
- Knowledge of tools such as Azure DevOps (or equivalent) for backlog management and sprint planning.
Your Personal Qualities
You are a confident and experienced leader who works in a structured and analytical manner, with a good ability to make decisions and set clear priorities based on the needs of the business. You thrive in cross-functional teams and see collaboration as a prerequisite for achieving common goals.
You are communicative and attentive, and you find it easy to build trust and create consensus among different stakeholders, even when perspectives and needs differ.
