IT Architect at the Swedish Armed Forces Technical and Maintenance Office

About the Position

As an IT Architect, you will work with:

  • Architectural governance and participate in developing target images and driving the architecture towards them
  • Supporting the realization of the organization's needs, purposes, goals, visions, and strategies within the application area
  • Ensuring a long-term perspective on the area as a whole
  • Establishing design rules and governance for the application area
  • Participating in and driving the preparation of development efforts related to the application area
  • Reviewing and evaluating applications, IT systems, and IT services
  • Actively participating in projects and explaining application architecture, rules, and governance
  • Supporting the development of new applications, IT systems, and IT services
  • Conducting environmental monitoring to maintain the right competence and architecture within the area

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Relevant technical education or work experience in technology, systems, or business development
  • Relevant higher education or equivalent experience assessed as equivalent by the employer
  • Experience in technical development, systematic work, and change management
  • Analytical ability and the capacity to see the whole without losing details
  • Enjoy working independently and taking initiatives in complex environments
  • Good ability to structure and plan work as well as take initiatives
  • Good knowledge of application platforms including cloud-based application platforms and services
  • Driver's license B

Personal Characteristics

You are a responsive team player with a high sense of service who quickly turns thought into action. You are unpretentious by regularly asking questions when you or the organization needs it and have a positive attitude and a structured approach to work. You have a high security awareness and a strong sense of responsibility. The work involves both internal and external contacts, which requires very good collaboration skills and social competence. You are technically interested and self-sufficient in planning and organizing your work.

Meritorious

  • Relevant certifications related to the area of competence
  • Experience with SAFe and agile system development methods
  • Good knowledge of modeling in Sparx Enterprise Architect (or equivalent) with modeling languages Archimate and UAF
  • Good knowledge of NAFv4
  • Good knowledge of C3 taxonomy
  • Good knowledge of DevSecOps

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

  • Employment Type: Permanent, with a 6-month probationary period for those not already employed by the Swedish Armed Forces.
