The Swedish Armed Forces' Telecommunications and Information Systems Unit (FMTIS) is looking for you who want to make a difference for Sweden's defense capability!
About the position
With us, you will work with IT security in an organization where your work makes a difference for Sweden's defense capability. In the role of junior system developer, you will belong to the section responsible for managing the Armed Forces' SAP solution PRIO within the functional area of Roles and Permissions.
About the System Management Unit and the Roles & Permissions Section
The System Management Unit (SFE) is the Armed Forces' organization for the management of IT systems, applications, and master data. SFE is part of the unit FMTIS. The unit's task is to maintain and develop functional, secure, and robust IT systems to support the Armed Forces' operational capability. SFE offers a good working environment with engaged employees who actively contribute to the unit's development and the Armed Forces' operations. Together, we contribute to creating a stronger defense that meets every threat and overcomes every challenge.
The Roles and Permissions section is part of the IT Security Department at SFE. The section consists of several individuals with both operational and consulting backgrounds. The group has broad competence at both a functional and technical level. We work closely with colleagues in other sections as well as with the rest of the organization.
The section currently consists only of civilian employees.
Main Responsibilities
Our main task is to maintain and develop the Armed Forces' IT solution and concept for roles and permissions primarily in SAP. We are part of the change chain from solution proposals to development and deployment.
As a system developer with us, you will work with the development and maintenance of roles and permissions primarily in SAP, which involves varying tasks; examples of tasks may include:
- Troubleshooting and corrections
- New development
- Upgrades
- Testing and design
- Feasibility studies
- Participation in larger projects.
The goal is to create secure IT solutions that meet the organization's needs and decided changes and understand the business processes within the area of roles and permissions. To support you, we will provide you with an introduction plan and relevant training.
Qualifications
- Swedish citizenship
- Current and relevant higher education in IT, or equivalent competence assessed as equivalent by the Armed Forces
- Good ability to communicate in speech and writing, in Swedish and English

Meritorious
- Work experience in system management, system and/or role development
- Experience in the area of roles and permissions or IT security
- Experience with larger business systems, preferably SAP
- Experience working with roles and permissions within Unix and/or Windows AD
- Experience working with case management
- Experience with the Armed Forces
Other
In the Armed Forces, the position is referred to as System Analyst.
- Employment type; permanent full-time as a civilian employee, starting with a six-month probationary period for those not currently employed by the Armed Forces.
