The Digitalization Unit at the Swedish Medical Products Agency is now looking for a backend developer in C#/.NET to join a newly established group within software development. In this role, you will have a central position in our ongoing business development with a focus on the digitalization of the agency's mission in medical technology, a rapidly growing area that is crucial for quality, safety, and efficiency in healthcare. Here, you will have the opportunity to influence work methods, solutions, and collaboration from start to delivery in close dialogue with both the business and IT.

Our Operations

The Digitalization Unit consists of approximately 90 dedicated employees who together take a comprehensive approach to the agency's digitalization. We work closely with the business to deliver accessible, stable, and secure digital solutions that are beneficial, and we constantly develop our working methods, technology, and tools.

Your Responsibilities

You will work with the development and management of the agency's digital solutions in medical technology. As a software developer, you will be part of an agile team and work together with other team members towards sprint goals and deliveries. The team transforms business needs into functional, quality-assured, and accessible solutions. The work encompasses the entire development chain, from needs analysis and design to development, testing, deployment, and management. You are also responsible for ensuring that the digital solutions developed are maintainable, secure, and sustainable in the long term.

As a backend developer with us, you will be responsible for the engine of the system. You will build robust APIs and ensure that data flows securely and efficiently between the database and our services.

Your Background

We are looking for a backend developer who has:

• Several years of experience developing in C# and .NET
• Several years of experience in API design (e.g., REST, NetCore Web API)
• Several years of experience with Entity Framework Core and SQL Server (or equivalent SQL database)
• Several years of experience with version control (Git, GitHub/GitLab)
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

It is an advantage if you have experience in:

• Agile development and DevOps
• Knowledge of object databases (NoSQL) such as MongoDB or Elasticsearch
• Knowledge of microservices, unit testing, and architectural patterns such as Clean Architecture
• System and service design

You genuinely enjoy development, are attentive, have good analytical skills, and work in a structured and quality-conscious manner. Furthermore, you are creative, want to work in an agile team, and care about creating and maintaining good relationships that are important for your work.
