We are now looking for a new colleague to our team at the Surgery and Ear-Nose-Throat Clinic!

As a medical secretary, you will have a coordinating role. You will have a wide range of tasks and be well-prepared for the future healthcare environment. We are looking for someone who is curious and has a positive attitude. As a person, you are stable, have good judgment, and are structured, creating effective working methods and routines. You are engaged in your work, enjoy taking responsibility, and are service-oriented, providing “that little extra.” The workload can vary, which requires flexibility, stress resistance, and a structured approach. You will meet our patients and their relatives by phone and work with bookings, referral management, journal systems, and registrations. As a medical secretary, you have an important function for patients, staff, and referrers. The work is varied, and the goal is to provide patients with good care, a good experience, and the best reception. You are naturally meticulous and enjoy working independently in close cooperation with the clinic's staff. Our starting point is that healthcare personnel should spend as much time as possible on patient-related work and that medical secretaries should be offered varied and qualified tasks.

Responsibilities

As a medical secretary at the surgery clinic and ear-nose-throat clinic, the following tasks are included:

• Administrative work including patient and diagnosis registration, bookings, and scheduling in ELVIS
• Handling incoming and outgoing referrals in Sälma
• Journal documentation and journal management, such as scanning
• Participating in the work to develop routines within healthcare administration
• Phone contact with patients via Telia Ace
• Mail handling and administration in 1177

You are a medical secretary with good computer skills and good knowledge of the Swedish language, preferably with experience from outpatient operations. Since you will work with many different professions, we see that you have an easy time collaborating and are clear in your communication. You are flexible, enjoy challenges, and can drive improvement and development work. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Qualifications

• Education as a medical secretary or equivalent.
• Very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
• Good computer skills and experience with administrative IT systems.

Desirable

• Good knowledge of healthcare administrative IT systems such as Melior, ELVIS, Telia Ace, 1177, and Sälma.

Conditions

Working hours are daytime, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of working from home by agreement with the employer.
