We are looking for a team leader for the Administrative Process Unit in Gothenburg.
As a team leader within the administrative process, you will have good opportunities to develop in your leadership role. We offer a qualified legal job with great variety. With us, you will work on current societal issues influenced by what happens in our environment. Issues that matter and engage.
Main Responsibilities
As a team leader, you represent the employer and support the immediate manager in the operational management work of the unit. This means that you allocate resources, coordinate and follow up on the team's daily work and report continuously to the unit manager. Through a coaching approach, you guide team members towards results and goal fulfillment and ensure that routines are followed. You drive the work of constantly improving methods and working practices. As a team leader, you contribute to ensuring that the unit has good conditions in terms of a developing work environment, the right competence, reasonable workload, clear goals, and good planning.
In your role, you also act as a decision-maker in urgent matters regarding enforcement obstacles that come into the unit. The work includes reviewing the Police Authority's decisions on expulsion and re-entry bans and other types of cases. The work pace is occasionally intense, and you often need to make decisions under time pressure.

You lead, motivate, and empower others with the authority required to effectively achieve common goals. You are guided by goal and result thinking in prioritization, planning, and action. Furthermore, you have the ability to create engagement and participation and work well with others by relating to them in a responsive and smooth manner. You coordinate groups and become a reference point for others. As a team leader, you communicate and resolve conflicts constructively, see the big picture, and take into account the larger perspective. You understand your role but act in the best interest of the entire organization in your actions and decisions. Sometimes you make quick decisions and act on them despite limited information or difficult circumstances.
Requirements
- Law degree
- Current experience of several years of qualified legal work in migration law
- Experience in administrative law, confidentiality, and administrative procedural law
- Good communication skills where you express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English
