The Workplace

As one of our employees takes the next step forward, we now have the opportunity to welcome a new colleague to the finance unit in Karlsborg Municipality. You will work centrally as an economist in the finance unit and be part of the joint work within a broad area of responsibility, where we together drive and develop the unit's mission.

Organizationally, the finance unit belongs to the municipal management administration, and the unit currently comprises eight positions. Your main placement will be in the Karlsborg municipal office.

Job Responsibilities

You will work with economic and quality issues within the municipal executive's operations. In the economic role, tasks include budgeting, forecasting, and result monitoring within the operational area. Other tasks include assisting your colleagues with budgeting and year-end closing, as well as other tasks that occur in a finance department.

The position also includes a municipality-wide quality coordination and system responsibility, as well as coordinator for purchasing and procurement. As a quality coordinator, you will coordinate the work to further develop the municipality's goal, operational, and result management. This will mainly take place within the framework of our quality management system, which you will be responsible for.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a university degree or other equivalent education in economics that is deemed comparable and/or experience in similar work that the employer considers sufficient. Experience in public administration and public procurement is an advantage.

You need to have good IT skills, especially in financial systems and the Office suite. We value experience from Unit4 or similar business systems as well as quality management systems.

We are looking for someone who is independent, structured, and analytical, with a strong sense of responsibility and quality awareness. You take responsibility for your tasks, communicate easily in speech and writing, and enjoy working together with colleagues. You appreciate challenges, are flexible, and have the ability to quickly adapt to new tasks while providing professional support both within the unit and for the organization as a whole.
