The VA unit is part of the Environmental and Community Building Administration. Our daily work ensures that our residents receive clean water from their taps and that their wastewater is disposed of in a good and environmentally friendly manner.

Job Description

As a VA economist, you will work closely with the operations in a broad role. The position includes providing consultative support and service in matters related to finance and ongoing statistics. You will have the opportunity to help develop the operations forward by contributing with market monitoring, analysis, and materials that support decision-making.

Your role includes, among other things:

• Supplier invoices
• Budget and forecasting work
• Financial management and resource allocation
• Interim and annual accounts
• Annual follow-up and processing of VA fees
• Investment and maintenance planning

The assignment of the VA operations is based on the "Public Water Services Act" and the economic principles are governed by this law. As an economist with us, you will work independently with a high degree of responsibility.

Your Background

We are looking for someone with a bachelor's degree in economics and several years of relevant work experience in accounting as well as budget and follow-up work, preferably with experience from the VA industry.

We work in a Windows environment and you need to be proficient in Excel. Experience with Visma ROR is a plus.

We see that you have analytical skills and an interest in interpreting numbers, that you see connections and contribute insights to the operations. You are unpretentious, structured, solution-oriented, and contribute to a good working atmosphere by valuing collaboration and community. We expect you to have excellent knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.
