About the Position

The Department for Work and Learning is responsible for, among other things, individual and family care, labor market and employment, as well as adult education and high school. Our core mission is to offer education and support based on individual needs and conditions. Through early, promoting, and preventive measures, we conduct targeted work in collaboration with other community actors.

The Department for Individual and Family Care consists of four units; IFO Team 1, IFO Team 2, the Residential Support Team, and the Support and Treatment Unit. The department is responsible for processing and execution within the areas of children (SoL and LVU) and adult substance abuse (SoL and LVM), social psychiatry (SoL), financial assistance, and violence in close relationships (SoL).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a residential support worker, you will work with harmful use and dependence, comorbidity, or with individuals who have mental health issues or mental disabilities, with the aim of increasing daily functioning.

In your work, you will base your actions on each client's individual implementation plan, where participation and development are the focus. The work is both pedagogically supportive and motivating, as well as practical based on what the client needs and their current state of mind. The work primarily takes place in the individual’s home but may also include support during social or physical activities, assistance with official contacts, and support with daily tasks such as shopping and cleaning. It may also involve activities outside the home aimed at breaking isolation or supporting individuals in engaging in meaningful occupations. You will also work with family support and conduct testing.

Qualified supervision is included in the professional practice, as well as regular further education.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with at least a two-year social pedagogical education or another education that we consider equivalent. You have experience working in the areas of harmful use and dependence, mental health issues, and knowledge of neuropsychiatry.

You have the ability to build trust, are secure and stable, and have great patience while being attentive to small progress. The work requires the ability to make independent decisions and act decisively. You are flexible and possess personal maturity. Through your working style, you create a positive work environment and collaborate with colleagues to achieve the organization's goals. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

You can express yourself correctly in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and are familiar with current legislation in the field and documentation requirements.

The working hours include shifts during the day, evening, and weekends.

OTHER

A manual B driver's license is required.

The position requires a criminal record extract.
