The Department of Work and Learning is responsible for, among other things, individual and family care, labor market and employment, as well as adult education and high school. Our primary mission is to offer education and support based on individual needs and conditions. Through early, promoting, and preventive measures, we conduct targeted work in collaboration with other community actors.

The Department of Individual and Family Care consists of four units: IFO Team 1, IFO Team 2, Housing Support Team, and Support and Treatment Unit. The department is responsible for processing and implementing within the areas of children (SoL and LVU) and adult substance abuse (SoL and LVM), financial support, social psychiatry (SoL), and violence in close relationships (SoL).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for two or more experienced social workers for our teams. In our teamwork, we collaborate to provide support for individuals based on their needs. Your role will focus on either children or adults with harmful use and dependence, and your main tasks will be to investigate the need for support and protection based on applicable legislation (SoL, LVU/LVM). You will work cross-professionally with other social workers in your team. You will work with:

  • collaboration with internal and external actors.
  • investigation work according to SoL and LVU/LVM
  • follow-up of granted measures.
  • preparing and presenting cases for the individual committee for decision.
  • representing the board in court.

Child Investigator: The work is conducted together with children/youth and their guardians, their networks, and in collaboration with other professionals who meet the target group. Your work includes investigating, assessing, and making decisions according to applicable legislation, SoL and LVU, as well as following up on measures to ensure the right support for the child/youth. The work is varied, where a day may consist of planned visits and documentation but also unplanned events that require urgent assessments.

Harmful Use and Dependence: As a social worker focusing on harmful use and dependence, you will work with authority exercise in the area. Your work includes investigating, assessing, and making decisions according to applicable legislation, SoL and LVM, as well as following up on measures to ensure the right support for the individual. You will have a particular focus on supporting individuals in vulnerable life situations and creating conditions for a safe and independent life.

Since we in IFO Team 1 and Team 2 work cross-professionally, it may be relevant for you to support colleagues in other professions as needed within the teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

A degree in social work or another relevant higher education including social law is required for the position. You have good knowledge of current legislation and documentation requirements and have a good ability to express yourself in correct Swedish in both speech and writing. You have previous experience in similar work. It is also an advantage if you have experience with Signs of Safety and case management in Lifecare.

You have a good ability to, with empathy, engagement, and respect, professionally meet people who are in difficult life situations. Flexibility and collaboration skills are important. You see collaboration as a natural part of your work.
