JOB DESCRIPTION
Do you want to help drive development forward in Osby Municipality? We are now looking for a strategist focusing on both external funding and sustainable development, a new role with both strategic and operational responsibilities.
As a strategist, you play a central role in driving and developing the municipality's overall development and sustainability work. You work to strengthen the municipality's development projects by identifying funding opportunities. You coordinate and support the municipality's administrations and associations in applying for funds from the EU's funds and programs. Your assignment also includes driving, coordinating, and developing the municipality's sustainability work. The role is both strategic and operational. You lead processes, build networks, and create structures for collaboration internally and externally.
Your main tasks:
- Work broadly and strategically with a focus on development and coordination.
- Network and develop contacts with external actors.
- Participate in project and working groups, conduct internal training and workshops, and perform environmental scanning.
- Be the contact person for the EU office Skåne Nordost.
- Coordinate and drive processes for applications for EU funds.
- Provide strategic support to the municipality's operations in development issues.
- Write project applications and provide project management support for approved EU projects (reporting, agreements, communication).
- Guide local businesses and associations regarding EU funding and internationalization.
- Ensure that sustainable development is integrated into governance, planning, operational development, and projects, and strengthen the organization's competence in environmental, social, and economic sustainability.
QUALIFICATIONS
You have a strong strategic ability and are used to working both independently and collaboratively. The role requires you to be analytical, structured, and solution-oriented.
You have the ability to identify needs and areas for development. We would like you to have experience in project management, financing, and driving processes from idea to implementation.
We expect you to have a good understanding of the EU's funds and programs and knowledge of relevant sustainability goals, such as the 2030 Agenda, and how these can be implemented in municipal operations.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a university degree in a relevant field, or other education and experience that the employer deems equivalent.
- Is structured and analytical with a focus on quality.
- Has a good ability to build networks and create collaboration internally and externally.
- Has good knowledge of the application process for EU funds and programs as well as experience in project management and financing.
- Has experience working with strategic sustainability efforts, preferably in public operations.
- Has strong communication skills for presentations, workshops, and training.
- Has a very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing, both in Swedish and English.
We offer
The position belongs to the administrative department of the municipal executive board. We are responsible for governance, follow-up, and development based on the budget and goals set by the municipal council.
A key role in the municipality's development work with a great opportunity to influence and contribute to long-term growth. You will be part of an open and forward-looking team consisting of another development strategist and a digitalization coordinator, where your competence makes a difference.
OTHER
There is an opportunity to combine the work with being a part-time firefighter. Assessment will be made based on the needs of the operations.
