Job Description
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the performance, reliability, and compliance of our production equipment and systems. You will work closely with production, engineering, quality, and external partners to ensure that maintenance, calibration, and inspections are planned and executed according to internal standards and regulatory requirements.
The role combines practical technical work with planning, coordination, documentation, and continuous improvements. You are expected to work independently, make well-informed technical decisions within your area of responsibility, and actively contribute to a safe and efficient GMP-regulated production environment.
Main Responsibilities
In this role, you will take overall responsibility for maintenance activities throughout the lifecycle - from planning to execution and follow-up. Your tasks will include both operational work and improvement work. You will, among other things:
- Plan, coordinate, and follow up on preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure high equipment availability and safe production
- Lead or participate in major maintenance activities, production stops, and technical projects
- Ensure compliance with GMP, internal procedures, and regulatory requirements related to maintenance and calibration
- Develop, update, and manage governing instructions, procedures, and system documentation
- Be responsible for service agreements and collaborate closely with external suppliers
- Drive and manage deviations (NC) and corrective actions (CA/CC)
- Ensure correct spare part availability and efficient maintenance planning
- Work in and be responsible for production-related IT systems such as CMMS
- Conduct periodic reviews of equipment, systems, and documentation
- Actively contribute to initiatives for continuous improvements and increased reliability
Qualifications and Requirements
To succeed in this role, we see that you have a strong technical foundation combined with a structured and quality-driven approach to work. You are comfortable taking responsibility, working independently, and collaborating cross-functionally. We are looking for someone who has:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, automation, production, or similar), or equivalent relevant experience
- 2-5 years of experience in maintenance or repair and maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience working in a regulated quality system, preferably GMP
- Practical experience with industrial equipment in a production environment
- Experience in planning, coordinating, and executing maintenance
- Good understanding of compliance, documentation, and regulatory requirements
- Ability to make technical decisions within your area of responsibility
- Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English
