Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a dedicated and competent special education teacher who is passionate about making a difference for our students in grades 4-6.

In this role, you will have a key position in the school's efforts to ensure that every student is given the best conditions to develop, with a particular focus on language, writing, and reading development. The position is dynamic and combines work with individual teaching as well as consultative and systematic work at the organizational level.

Your main responsibilities:

• Strategic student support: Plan and implement special educational interventions for students in need of special support.
• Student support: Plan, prepare, and conduct special educational interventions and teaching for students in need of special support, both individually and in smaller groups.
• Analysis and development: Conduct and document pedagogical assessments and investigations together with teachers. You will analyze data and results to drive systematic quality work forward and identify success factors.
• Consultative leadership: Guide and coach teams and educators in special educational issues. Your expertise is crucial for developing learning environments and adaptations in classrooms.
• Collaboration in the student health team: A central role in the student health team (EHT), where you contribute expert knowledge to identify needs and design effective action programs.
• Relationship building: Build trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians, ensuring a safe and stimulating learning environment.

Qualifications

You who apply have a teaching license and a degree in special education. If you have a special teacher's degree with a focus on language, writing, and reading development or a teaching license with authorization for grades 1-6, we consider it an advantage. It is also advantageous if you have experience working as a special educator and experience with documentation, investigations of needs for special support, and action programs.

You have good didactic and pedagogical skills. You have insight and knowledge of the school's governing documents and can apply them in your daily work. Based on evidence-based research, we see that you can develop your work, and we want you to be familiar with and have knowledge of working with relevant digital tools.

We are looking for someone with solid knowledge in reading and writing development, a strong commitment to relationship building, and who meets students with respect and trust regardless of where they are in their development. You have a clear structure in your work and the ability to analyze students' needs, reflect on results, and use data to guide interventions. You are confident in your leadership and can organize work to create an inclusive and safe learning environment.
