Your role

You will work to support the children's development and provide them with opportunities for various leisure activities while developing their social skills and knowledge. At Bjärnums school, teachers in after-school care also work in the school in various ways based on our students' needs. This may involve supporting students during breaks or organizing break activities. It may also mean stepping in to support in classes. This creates a bridge between after-school care and school, providing students with security, support, and a sense of wholeness.

Who are you?

We are looking for a qualified teacher in after-school care who is driven by the opportunity to influence students' development in after-school care in close collaboration with other colleagues at the school.

Experience working as a teacher in after-school care and in primary school is an advantage.

As a teacher in after-school care, you should have good communication skills, be proactive, have good collaboration skills, and be able to meet people. We expect you to have good IT skills and good collaboration abilities towards children, guardians, and your colleagues. We place great value on creating a pleasant environment for both students and staff and expect you to share the same perspective.

About us

The Department of Children and Education is responsible for the municipality's preschools, primary schools, secondary schools, adapted schools, and cultural schools. We work together to create a learning environment where children, students, and employees succeed and can be their best. The department's mission is to coordinate, plan, and support the various activities and work for coordination between school and working life.

Bjärnums school is a K-9 school, which, together with Mala school, forms a principal area. Bjärnums school has about 360 students in K-9. The leadership consists of a principal and two assistant principals.

The school is located about a 15-minute drive north of Hässleholm. There are also good train and bus connections to Bjärnum, where the school is within walking distance from the station.
