Your role with us

As a teacher with us, you stimulate students to learn and take responsibility. With commitment and enthusiasm, you create a safe learning environment based on mutual respect and cooperation, through good leadership both inside and outside the classroom.

The teaching is designed based on the goals of the curriculum, where planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation are important cornerstones. You have positive and high expectations for the students and adapt the teaching according to all students' levels, focusing on the best interests of the student.

Through dialogue, you create good relationships characterized by mutual respect and a trusting approach. In your role, you keep yourself updated on events in the world and the everyday lives of young people. Alternative teaching tools and documentation are a natural part of your work. In a systematic way, you reflect on the practical work and together with colleagues, you drive development work in the work group/school. You also have a shared responsibility for both your own and the group’s planning and further development.

If you are new as a teacher, you will be supported by a mentor for the best guidance in your work, and if you are an unqualified teacher, you can teach but not be responsible for it. The responsibility for grading lies with a qualified teacher.

Who are we looking for?

For the position, it is important that you thrive in an environment where flexibility, responsibility, and cooperation are central. You are unpretentious and see the value in all adults around the students contributing - regardless of the task.

We are looking for someone with a teaching license with qualifications to teach in grades 7-9 in the subject of English and at least one of the social studies subjects in primary school. The position requires that you have a good ability to teach children in need of special support. It is an advantage if you have previously worked as a teacher in primary school or have experience in teaching. We would like you to have the ability to support students in handling conflicts that arise.

You have the ability to adapt teaching according to each student’s conditions, and your lessons are characterized by clear expectations, a calm working atmosphere, and a desire to learn. You have commitment, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in the world of education and how it is affected by the outside world.

A success factor is your ability to create trusting relationships both inside and outside the school. Furthermore, you are a confident educational leader with the ability to critically analyze your own and the work group’s methods for continuous development.

Of course, you use digital technology in teaching and as a tool for information, planning, communication, and reporting. You organize and structure your work according to set goals.

As a person, you are communicative, attentive, and well acquainted with and adhere to the ethical principles for teachers, as well as having the ability to analyze and document students' abilities and knowledge.

In order for us to consider your application, you must attach your diploma and teaching license. If there are no qualified licensed teachers, you who are unqualified can be employed on a temporary basis according to the Education Act. When we want to offer you the position, it is required that you present an extract from the police criminal record for us to be able to employ you, according to the provisions in Chapter 2, Sections 31-33 of the Education Act.
