Engaged Teacher Wanted for Källan in Östra Göinge Municipality

Are you an engaged teacher who wants to make a difference for students in need of special support? At Källan, Östra Göinge Municipality's special education group (KSU) and acute school, we are now looking for a teacher for a one-year temporary position as a colleague goes on parental leave. Here, you will be part of a team that creates a safe and structured environment for students who temporarily need support outside the regular school. The aim is for the operation to create a context that is manageable, meaningful, and understandable where all students can have a chance to succeed based on their circumstances.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will actively work in the school environment alongside your teaching assignment, with responsibility for instruction. The focus is on strengthening, affirming, and supporting students both inside and outside the classroom. Close collaboration with other educators and student health services is of great importance. We base our work on the students' competencies, strengths, and resources to help them practice what is difficult.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed teacher with the qualifications to teach several theoretical subjects for grades 4-6. If you are qualified in Math/Science or have a special education degree, it is considered an advantage.

You are a secure person with good leadership qualities and an approach that aligns with the school's values. You have an openness to meeting students and adults from different backgrounds and circumstances. For you, it is a given to develop your teaching with the support of current research and digital tools.

Familiar with the school's governing documents, you implement them in your daily work and have an inclusive perspective as well as the ability to see how the individual student's needs can best be met. You take responsibility for your assignment and your tasks and actively contribute to the development of the operation. You are self-sufficient, can make your own decisions, and have good judgment in handling both small and large issues.
