We are looking for someone who wants to inspire the use of digital opportunities in education and work strategically with issues related to Komvux Malmö's IT development. We welcome applicants with a background in pedagogy, IT, or information and library science.

Responsibilities

As an IT educator at Komvux Malmö, you will have a strategic and development-oriented role focused on strengthening and driving the organization's digital learning. You will work long-term to identify needs, set direction, and contribute to raising the digital competence of teachers, management, and students in a systematic and sustainable way.

Your role includes training, mentoring, and providing pedagogical IT support to various professions within Komvux Malmö. You will act as support in both teaching and development processes and adapt efforts according to the needs of the organization and individuals. You will work with monitoring the external environment regarding digitalization and pedagogical IT, as well as analyze and evaluate digital learning tools. An important part of the assignment is to map the current situation in relation to the organization's goals, suggest relevant development initiatives, and follow up and evaluate completed activities.

As an IT educator, you are a qualified support to management in assessments regarding how digital development should be driven forward within Komvux. You collaborate closely with process leaders such as lead teachers, special educators, and other key personnel. Together with other IT educators and the pedagogical support organization, you actively contribute to the continued development of the organization with a focus on digital learning.

The position also includes administrative tasks. Evening work may occur.

Qualifications

For this position, you are required to have one of the following qualifications:

• teaching degree or equivalent, with authorization at the upper secondary level
• or a bachelor's degree in the IT field (180 credits)
• or a bachelor's degree in information and library science (180 credits) along with very high digital competence and very high pedagogical competence.

In addition, you need to have:

• at least three years of relevant experience as assessed by the employer
• very high digital competence, which means the individual possesses the ability to analyze, solve, and address IT-related problems, as well as the ability to drive and develop digitalization processes
• very good Swedish in speech and writing.

We would like you to have:

• relevant post-secondary education in pedagogy, IT, and media and information literacy (MIK)
• experience working with MIK
• experience in maintaining software and hardware
• good reading comprehension in English

As an IT educator within Komvux, you have a strong pedagogical ability and good insight into how adults with different backgrounds and conditions acquire knowledge. You communicate clearly, engagingly, and attentively in both small and large groups, and adapt your message according to the target audience and situation to create understanding and participation. You are self-driven and structured, take responsibility for your tasks, and plan and drive your work effectively towards set goals and deadlines. With good analytical and problem-solving skills, you handle complex issues and find sustainable solutions in a changing IT environment. You collaborate well with colleagues and other stakeholders, contribute to an open dialogue, and handle any challenges constructively. The role also requires solid IT competence and specialist knowledge, where you continuously keep yourself updated and serve as a knowledge resource and pedagogical support for both students and colleagues.

We will conduct interviews continuously in this process, but appointments will occur only after the final publication date.
