JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

At SCB, we handle large amounts of data daily with fast information flows and develop solutions to simplify and future-proof statistics. SCB's IT department is primarily located in Örebro with about 100 employees responsible for the IT systems that enable statistical production.

SCB is now making significant exciting investments in IT to support SCB's statistical production. The investment involves building a new modern software-based data center and development platforms that, with new technology and new working methods, meet SCB's future statistical production. In connection with this investment, we are now looking for more employees in IT in various technical areas. We hope you want to be part of our vision for the future.

Are you interested in joining us on our journey and working within the infrastructure unit in our newly built premises in the north of Örebro?

With us, you will work in a modern operational environment. You will have a role where you, together with about thirty other colleagues, work closely with system managers on the operation and development of SCB's IT infrastructure. We work a lot in project form when upgrades and new developments occur in the environment. Your areas of responsibility may change over time in line with the development of our new data center.

• be involved in developing our new software-based data center,
• work with projects, operation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure,
• together with the team, ensure that the technical prerequisites exist to maintain the functionality of the service within your areas,
• act as a driving force in the area, help develop new solutions,
• collaborate with friendly experienced colleagues in the unit to brainstorm ideas for new solutions and improvement proposals and develop a three-year roadmap for the services you work with

QUALIFICATIONS

We want you to have:

• A university degree with a focus on IT or equivalent education/work experience that the employer assesses as equivalent
• The ability and documented experience of working in a structured and project-oriented manner
• High knowledge and current work experience in:
• Virtualization VMware virtualization platform
• VMware Tanzu container platform
• Shell programming in Linux operating system
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or work experience that the employer assesses as equivalent.
• The ability to express yourself fluently in Swedish in both speech and writing

We consider it meritorious if you have:

• Knowledge and experience in operations for one or more products/areas:
• Scripting PowerShell, Bash
• Certified Kubernetes Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS),
• Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate (KCNA), Kubernetes and Cloud Security Associate (KCSA) or work experience that the employer assesses as equivalent
• Experience working in larger complex IT environments with high security requirements.

OTHER

This position is located in the IT/IOS/DC section in Örebro at Åkullegatan 14. Travel to Solna strand may occur.

Depending on the conditions of the business, there is an opportunity to work some time from home.

You may be part of an on-call chain that handles priority 1 incidents outside regular office hours.

The employment is permanent and usually begins with a six-month probationary period. The start date will be agreed upon.
