SWEDISH ARMED FORCES is looking for new employees

The Swedish Armed Forces' Telecommunications and Information Systems Command (FMTIS) in Örebro is seeking new employees. FMTIS Operations Unit provides central operation of IT systems within the Armed Forces, according to a process-oriented working method (ITIL).

Main Responsibilities:

As a release leader/sub-project leader, you will work in our release process aimed at planning and leading the deployment of software and hardware to minimize disruptions in the Armed Forces' command support systems. As a release leader/sub-project leader, you will receive assignments from clients and coordinate implementation together with technicians. You will be responsible for information dissemination, purchasing, and planning of deployments in existing systems, implementation of new systems, or decommissioning of systems. One of your most important tasks in your role will be to lead and follow up on your assigned tasks.

You will have close collaboration with our executing organizations, clients, and coordinating functions. Collaboration is key to a functioning release process and change management.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 3-year upper secondary education with a focus on IT or equivalent technical acquired knowledge. We will consider profiles with a technical/IT background.
  • Experience in IT-related tasks, preferably within a larger operations organization.
  • Good experience in administrative work and the ability to organize and structure your own work.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Driver's license for manual transmission vehicles.

Meritorious

  • Experience in process-oriented working methods.
  • Experience in Change/Release processes.
  • Experience with the Armed Forces' telecommunications network.
  • Experience with the Armed Forces' material process.
  • Experience in project work.
  • Education/certification in ITIL.

Permanent full-time employment (six months probationary period applies)
