Are you a curious and dedicated engineer who wants to work broadly with systems security and have a direct impact on technical and security-critical decisions? At our client in the defense and security industry, you will play a key role in analyzing and minimizing risks in advanced systems that contribute to increased safety for people and society. You will be part of a knowledgeable team where collaboration, integrity, and systematic approaches are at the core. The role encompasses the entire product lifecycle from early concepts to verified products. About the Role As a Systems Security Engineer, you are an independent function ensuring that the security perspective is included at every step of the development process. Your mission involves more than identifying risks; you analyze, prevent, and minimize system risks so that nothing unforeseen occurs when the product is used according to the instructions. The work is project-based and in close collaboration with colleagues from mechanics, electronics, software, systems development, and testing. You will work both in development projects, often early in the process, and with product maintenance where you may come in later in the flow. The role involves a lot of analysis and documentation work and suits you if you enjoy structure, precision, and a holistic perspective. Examples of Responsibilities
- Conduct systems security analyses throughout the system lifecycle, considering people, property, and the environment.
- Familiarize yourself with mechanics, electronics, software, and how systems interact with users and external environments.
- Work with requirement interpretation and breakdown related to safety requirements and verification.
- Develop, review, and quality assure verification documentation and participate in design reviews.
- Analyze design and construction, perform risk assessments, and propose safety measures.
- Participate in troubleshooting, root cause analyses, and improvement work in existing systems.
- Post-secondary technical education, for example in mechanics, software, electronics, or industrial economics.
- 1–2 years of experience in your field of education.
- Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Swedish citizenship
- Experience in systems security or safety analyses.
- Technical background in design or development (mechanics, electronics, or software).
- Experience working systematically with processes, analyses, requirements, and documentation.
