Bofors Test Center Strengthens Its Organization with a Deputy Department Head Responsible for Information Security and IT

Bofors Test Center is an internationally recognized player in testing both military and civilian products, and now the company is taking the next step in its development.

To meet increasing demands for information security and a more complex security landscape, we are now recruiting a key person responsible for information security and IT. This is a role close to the operation, where structure, compliance, and secure handling of information are at the center.

The Role in Practice

In this role, you have overall responsibility for driving, developing, and ensuring information security within the organization. This means you will coordinate the work with governing documents, risk assessments, incident management, and continuity planning, as well as ensure that policies and procedures are updated and followed.

A central part of the assignment is to lead and further develop the work with ISO 27001 so that the management system is not only in place but is anchored in the organization and functions in daily operations.

Another important part of the role involves responsibility for the IT environments and ongoing IT operations. You will coordinate networks, systems, servers, cloud solutions, and cybersecurity from a holistic perspective and ensure that IT solutions support the operation in a secure and stable manner.

This may include:

• ensuring functioning user support and assistance
• acting as a purchaser towards IT suppliers
• coordinating upgrades and implementations of new systems
• responsible for purchasing hardware, licenses, and IT equipment
• participating in needs and risk analyses during technical changes

You will act as the link between the operation, IT suppliers, and security requirements, ensuring that the work is kept together and driven forward.

Clear Division of Responsibilities

The role includes personnel and work environment responsibility for one employee and is central to translating the overall direction into functioning solutions in everyday life.

In addition to the core assignment, the role also includes responsibility as Deputy Department Head. In the absence of the Head of Staff and Security, you will be responsible for maintaining the department's operational functions, for example, by representing the department in internal forums, ensuring continuity in ongoing matters, and making necessary decisions within the framework of the assignment.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who thrives in the intersection of security, technology, and operations.

Since this is a smaller group, we place great importance on personal qualities. You have a natural leadership ability and are confident in taking responsibility. You dare to challenge established ways of working when necessary, but do so with respect for regulations and security requirements. You are attentive to what arises in the operation and have the ability to find a balanced way forward between development and compliance.

You have a strong security awareness and understand the importance of documentation, structure, and clear processes. At the same time, you have a curiosity about new technology and follow developments in information security and IT to assess what is relevant for the organization.

We also see it as a strength if you have experience in driving initiatives or improvement work, especially within information security or IT. For us, it is not about being a pure project manager, but about being able to take responsibility for ensuring that changes are actually implemented and getting the operation involved in the initiatives that need to be driven through.

Qualifications

• Good experience in structured information security work according to established frameworks, such as ISO 27001 or equivalent
• Several years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure, and system environments
• Post-secondary education in IT or equivalent experience
• Swedish citizenship
• Driver's license B
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
