Professional Galaxy is looking for a Senior Software Developer – Mission Planning & Advanced Systems on behalf of our client.

We are now seeking a senior software developer for a qualified consulting assignment with our client in the defense industry. The assignment is technically advanced and is aimed at those who want to work with robust, performance-critical software in systems where quality, precision, and reliability are crucial.

You will be an important part of an experienced and agile development team that is further developing a world-leading long-range system, where your contribution has a direct impact on both technical development and the project's success.

About the assignment

The assignment involves software development of advanced missile and mission planning systems. A central part of the work is the further development of a mission planning system that is facing extensive upgrades regarding performance, autonomy, and handling large and complex data sets.

The system places very high demands on accuracy, modularity, and technical precision. The work is therefore both complex and developmental, with a strong focus on sustainable design and technical innovation.

As a consultant, you will participate throughout the development cycle and work with:

System work and requirements management Design and software architecture Implementation in performance-critical environments Testing, verification, and troubleshooting Delivery and further development in close collaboration with the team The work encompasses multiple levels in the system – from hardware-near software to application logic and user interface – and is conducted according to agile methodologies.

Requirements

To be considered for the assignment, you must have:

-Senior experience in software development (level 4) -In-depth knowledge of C and C++ -Experience in design work and software architecture -Experience in software testing and quality assurance -Familiarity with working in agile teams -Ability to work systematically in technically demanding and safety-critical environments

Meritorious:

Experience with Ada Experience with CUDA
