Driven by seeing your ideas come to life? Welcome to our exciting and technology-intensive world.
Your Role
As a Software Engineer with us, you will become a key part of the development and maintenance of products within our business area, Missile Systems. Here, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the technology and contribute to future products that make a real difference in our mission to keep people and societies safe.
You will become part of a cross-functional team with colleagues who work according to agile principles. Together, you will drive development forward, share knowledge, and take responsibility for solutions that need to be robust, well-thought-out, and sustainable over time. The role gives you great scope to influence both technology and working methods, and since we are on a growth journey, there are good opportunities for you to contribute ideas regarding methods, structure, and how we work together.
At our company, there is a wide variety of software and system development at many levels. Depending on which team you belong to, you can work with everything from embedded systems to large graphical planning systems. You will get exciting and varied tasks with several new projects underway, while also continuing to develop and maintain existing products. This creates a daily routine where you can both use your current skills and continue to develop alongside the technology, the team, and the business.
The position is located in Karlskoga.
Your Profile
We are looking for you who have good communication skills in Swedish and English and who enjoy working closely with others in a team, while also being able to take individual responsibility and drive your work independently. You have experience working in an agile environment, are responsible in your approach to tasks, and are happy to share your knowledge with others.
It is an advantage if you have previous professional experience as a hardware-close software developer with skills in C/C++, experience with Linux-based development environments, and knowledge within testing, continuous integration, maintenance of development environments, and security development.
Furthermore, we believe you are driven by learning, appreciate the freedom to take technical initiatives, and are motivated by working with solutions where quality, purpose, and long-term impact are at the center.
The position requires that you undergo and pass the security clearance process according to applicable regulations. For positions where Saab has security classification requirements, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
Please note that we conduct ongoing selection and that the position may be filled before the final application date has passed. Feedback on your application will be provided after the summer.
