Combitech in Örebro, Karlskoga, and Karlstad is now looking for a Senior Systems Engineer who wants to take overall responsibility throughout the entire product lifecycle - from early concepts and requirements definition to verification and commissioning. Here, you will work in technically advanced projects where safety, robustness, and reliability are crucial. You contribute with your systems experience while having the opportunity to influence both development processes and technical solutions.

The Role

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Drive systems engineering throughout the entire product development cycle - from requirements to a finished and commissioned product
• Conduct risk analyses and safety assessments (e.g., FMEA)
• Develop, formulate, and follow up on system requirements with full traceability between requirements, design, and verification
• Develop and implement safety plans, processes, and working methods
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations, such as MIL‑STD‑882E, H‑SysSäk, and H‑ProgSäk
• Work with system integration and verification to ensure that software, hardware, and subsystems function together
• Contribute to quality assurance through analyses, technical reviews, and verification
• Work with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and support work in tools such as SysML, DOORS, and Enterprise Architect
• Develop work in lab and simulation environments, including interfaces between different simulation platforms
• Collaborate closely with systems, software, electronics, and mechanical teams
• Drive improvements in safety processes and ensure that safety is integrated early in development
• Act as a technical leader and mentor within systems engineering

We are looking for someone who

• Has a university degree in, for example, technical physics, computer science, electrical engineering, or equivalent
• Has several years of experience in systems engineering, systems architecture, or systems safety work
• Has good knowledge of safety standards such as MIL‑STD‑882, H‑SysSäk, and H‑ProgSäk
• Has experience with requirements management and traceability throughout the development chain
• Has worked with analysis, simulation, and verification of complex systems
• Has experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and relevant tools
• Has good programming understanding, for example in C/C++, Java, or Python
• Has experience with embedded systems and cross-disciplinary product development (software, electronics, and mechanics)
• Is accustomed to working structured with documentation in complex projects
• Speaks and writes fluently in Swedish and English

It is an advantage if you:

• Have experience from the defense industry or the Swedish Armed Forces
• Have experience with algorithm development

Since the position involves work covered by defense secrecy, you are required to undergo and pass a security clearance with register check.
