RESPONSIBILITIES

At SCB, we handle large amounts of data daily with fast information flows, and we constantly strive to find better solutions to simplify and future-proof our statistics. SCB's IT department is primarily located in Örebro with approximately 100 employees responsible for the IT systems that enable statistical production.

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer who will take responsibility within a team for our Kubernetes and Azure DevOps platform. The role is central to our IT organization and involves building, developing, and maintaining a stable and secure container and Azure DevOps platform used by several development and data teams.

You will act as the link between the infrastructure platform and the teams consuming the platform, with a focus on availability, automation, standardization, and an efficient developer experience.

If you want to work within Kubernetes (Tanzu) and Azure DevOps to:

• Design, set up, develop, and maintain the Kubernetes platform
• Ensure integration between infrastructure, Kubernetes, and consuming teams (development/data)
• Be responsible for operations, monitoring, patching, and lifecycle management of the platform
• Design and maintain CI/CD flows for container-based development
• Work with automation (Infrastructure as Code, pipelines, policies)
• Support and guide development and data teams in the use of the platform
• Contribute to stability, security, and compliance with internal guidelines
• Participate in architecture and improvement work regarding our platform environment

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have:

• An academic degree focused on IT or equivalent education/work experience assessed by the employer as equivalent.
• The ability to express yourself well in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
• At least 6 months of current experience in the following areas:
  • Working with Kubernetes in production environments
  • Container technology (e.g., Tanzu/OCI)
  • CI/CD and pipeline development
  • Linux-based environments
  • Networking, security, and authentication in container platforms

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience in building or maintaining internal developer platforms
• Knowledge of Kubernetes monitoring (logging, monitoring, metrics)
• Experience administering the Azure DevOps platform
• Experience with security work in Kubernetes (RBAC, network policies, secrets)
• Experience in creating technical standards or platform guidelines ("Golden Path")

Furthermore, you have a well-developed analytical ability. You can structure and break down complex problems, identify causes, and develop thoughtful solutions based on analysis.

This position is located in the IT/IS/PL section in Örebro. Based on the business conditions, there is an opportunity to work some time from home.

The employment is permanent and usually begins with a six-month probationary period. The start date will be agreed upon.
