Tech Lead / Software Architect – Embedded Systems | Karlskoga

We are looking for an experienced Tech Lead / Software Architect within Embedded Systems for a long-term consulting assignment with our client in Karlskoga. About the Role

In the role of Tech Lead / Software Architect, you will combine strategic architecture work with practical development. You will be responsible for defining technical solutions, making architectural decisions, and guiding development teams through the entire development process – from design to implementation and quality assurance.

You will become a key technical advisor and work closely with developers, system engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure robust, scalable, and long-term sustainable solutions.

We are looking for someone who has

• At least 5 years of experience in embedded systems development
• Very good knowledge of C/C++
• Experience with Embedded Linux, FreeRTOS, or similar operating systems
• Experience with CMake and/or Make
• Good understanding of communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, and UART
• Experience working with microcontrollers
• Experience in developing device drivers
• Experience with unit testing and quality assurance
• Experience with agile development methods
• Experience with System on Modules (SoM)
• Experience with DevOps principles and practices

Desirable Experience

• Yocto
• Work with electrical schematics and hardware-oriented development
