Your role as a software developer in embedded systems

We are looking for a skilled consultant in software development specializing in embedded systems. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions tailored to the customer's specific requirements and needs. You will work closely with the customer's team to understand their needs and challenges, ensuring that the software solutions are both scalable and robust.

Your role involves participating in the entire development process, from initial requirement gathering to testing and deployment of the systems. You will provide technical advice and support to customers to optimize their systems and processes, as well as identify and resolve technical issues and bugs that may arise. Additionally, it is important that you stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends in the field to deliver the best solutions to our customers.

As a consultant at Combitech in Karlstad, Karlskoga, or Örebro, you will either work directly with the end customer or in one of our in-house projects.

Who are you?

To succeed in the role of software developer in embedded systems, you should have a bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics, or software engineering, or equivalent work experience. You should be proficient in programming languages such as C, C++, and Python. Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and microcontroller development is crucial, as is an understanding of communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, or UART.

Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking are also important attributes, as is experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) to ensure smooth and efficient development processes. You should have good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with both customers and teams.

We are looking for someone with an interest in new challenges, the desire to develop personally and professionally as a consultant and engineer. You can adapt when necessary and have a curiosity that helps you find new smart solutions to emerging challenges.

The Combitech offices in Örebro, Karlskoga, and Karlstad are in an expansion phase, and we are looking for engineers who want to help shape the future direction of the section. Here, there is an opportunity to organize everything from after-work activities and hackathons to educational projects and team-building activities. There is also room to propose and organize workshops and seminars with leading experts to deepen the team's competence.

Since the position may involve work covered by defense secrecy, you are required to undergo and pass a security clearance with register check.
