Your Role

Are you an experienced software developer who thrives on technical challenges and is passionate about creating robust and reliable software in a hardware-near environment? Do you want to work with advanced defense systems at the forefront of modern technology? Then this might be the right role for you.

We are looking for an engaged and experienced software developer to participate in exciting projects within an advanced robot system. As an important member of our dynamic and agile team, you will be part of the development of a product that is already technologically world-leading at Saab.

As a software developer, you will play a central role in the further development of an advanced system for air defense from the ground. The system is currently undergoing an upgrade and will in the future be integrated into several different solutions.

Through close collaboration with experienced colleagues, you are expected to contribute to the team with your competence and experience, but you will also receive support and the opportunity to learn and grow into your role. You will be involved throughout the entire development cycle and be able to engage in different parts of the process, including systems work, requirements management, design, testing/verification, debugging, and delivery. You will also have the opportunity to test different roles within our agile methodology and development process. Together, you are responsible for the software at different levels, from hardware-near to application and user interface.

The position is located in Karlskoga.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who have a genuine interest in technology and software and enjoy working in a team. To succeed with us, we believe you are driven by problem-solving and motivated by finding effective and sustainable solutions, regardless of which tools are used.

You have:

• At least five years of experience in software development
• In-depth knowledge and experience working with C and C++
• Experience with software testing and quality assurance in one of these languages
• Experience working in agile teams and are driven by collaboration, development, and knowledge sharing
• Hardware-near programming is an advantage

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to the current security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
