The Municipal Executive Office has overall responsibility for the management and coordination of the municipality's operations. Within the administration, there are several supporting and controlling functions, including HR, communication, finance, and IT.

The Security Department is a central part of this work. It currently consists of a Security Director/Security Protection Director, two Preparedness and Security Strategists, and a Safety Coordinator. The department needs to be supplemented with knowledge/experience in information security, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the Cyber Security Act (NIS2).

DUTIES

The role entails overall responsibility for the municipality's work on information security, including data protection (GDPR) and cyber security (NIS2). The assignment includes both strategic and operational work to ensure a cohesive information security effort in the municipality.

Strategic work:

• Information security and overall planning
• Municipality-wide information security responsibility
• Implementation and management of NIS2 requirements
• Overall risk management and continuity planning

Operational and coordinating work:

• Information classification according to KLASSA
• Management of PUB agreements
• Practical information security, NIS2, and GDPR support to operations
• Coordination of incident reporting to responsible authorities
• Operational data protection coordination
• Security requirements and risk assessment in procurement and projects

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have relevant academic education or other knowledge that the employer considers equivalent. You have a good ability to convey knowledge in the Swedish language, both orally and in writing.

A B driving license is required for the position.

You adapt and find solutions through an unpretentious focus on the common goal. You combine strategic and long-term thinking with a strong analytical ability that supports the development of the operations.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience from working in a politically governed organization, public operations
• Experience of working with information security and/or GDPR and/or NIS2
• Experience of management systems/standards, e.g., ISO 27000
• Education in information security and/or GDPR and/or NIS2 and/or law and/or legal science

The position requires a certificate of good conduct and Swedish citizenship, and before a decision on employment is made, a background check will be conducted. You will be part of the municipality's crisis management organization.
