As a Security Architect with us, you will play a key role in designing and future-proofing robust security solutions in a business where technology, innovation, and social responsibility meet. Location: Karlskoga, Karlstad, or Linköping. Travel within the role is expected.

Your Role

As a Security Architect, you have a holistic perspective on security architecture and are central to ensuring our IT environments meet Saab's internal and external IT security requirements as well as the business's needs. You will be involved in requirements definition, design, investigations, risk and threat analysis, support, advisory, and review of solution architecture from an IT security perspective.

You belong to the security organization and work closely with both the business, the IT organization, and other specialist functions to ensure that IT security is integrated throughout the entire chain, from requirements definition and design to implementation and maintenance. Together with colleagues, you work on defining and further developing principles, guidelines, and architecture.

You maintain close dialogue with the business and various stakeholders within the company to understand needs, translate requirements, and contribute to a long-term sustainable security architecture. You support projects and development teams, act as a client competency and sounding board in matters concerning technical solutions and requirements for such as identity and access management, network security, application security, as well as cloud and platform security. You also serve as an advisor in security architecture, participate in accreditation processes, and are involved in the overall security maturity work within the organization. You collaborate cross-functionally to create a strong link between the business, technical solutions, and overarching IT/information security requirements.

Furthermore, you initiate and drive improvement initiatives, conduct architecture analyses, and ensure that our security frameworks are current, clear, and adhered to.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who have relevant competence in IT, IT security, and security architecture, with a good understanding of networks, clients, servers, device management, and cyber security. You have post-secondary education in fields such as computer science, systems science, or equivalent, or have acquired equivalent competence through work experience.

You have several years of experience working in areas such as IT architecture, IT security, security architecture, security design, or security solutions. You have experience with requirements gathering, architecture documentation, network diagrams, and/or technical principle sketches. You are accustomed to working in complex environments where compliance, security, and confidentiality are business-critical.

We are looking for you who thrive at the intersection of business, security, and technology, and have good ability to communicate complex security issues. You can switch between strategic discussions and operational questions depending on the business's needs. Through your experience, you have developed confidence in acting as an advisor to the business and decision-makers, where you can clearly and pedagogically translate technical requirements, risks, and opportunities into recommendations and solutions that create business value.

It is meritorious if you have experience with relevant regulations and standards within information and IT security, such as ISO 27000, NIST, or similar, as well as competence in identity and access management, network security, and modern security platforms. Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are also a plus, as is experience working in a highly regulated or security-sensitive business.

As a person, you are analytical, structured, and solution-oriented. You thrive in complex environments where you get to combine strategic thinking with operational execution. You are independent, proactive, collaborate without hierarchy, and have a strong commitment to developing and strengthening the organization's security work. We also expect you to have very good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing.

The position requires that you undergo and pass the security clearance checks according to current regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
