About the position

The position is located in the IT Operations unit, which is one of five units within the Information Supply and Digitalization Department. IT Operations is responsible for the operation and maintenance of Örebro Municipality's operational systems. We are about thirty employees, and among our services are application operations, client management, server and network operations, storage, backup, and database management. You will belong to a team of four people working in client management. Örebro Municipality strives to be a modern employer and therefore offers the opportunity to perform work partially remotely. Windows client configuration and management via SCCM
management of Image, Task Sequence, and Boot Image (incl. PXE/F12)
SCCM and Intune management in a hybrid environment
Windows 11 - configuration, deployment, and upgrades
troubleshooting and root cause analysis

Our department has the overall responsibility to lead and coordinate the municipality's digitalization development, and we are responsible for information supply, information security, IT architecture, development, IT operations, IT support, digital workplace, and telephony.

The department is divided into five units: the unit for assignment management, service and support, the development unit, IT operations, and the unit for strategy, architecture, and transformation. In the role of IT Specialist SCCM, you will belong to IT operations, and our workplace is located in Stadsbyggnadshus 2.

Qualifications

In your role as an IT specialist in SCCM, it is important that you listen, communicate, and collaborate well with your colleagues. You have a technical understanding and work well with complex issues, breaking down and solving problems. In your inquiries, you act proactively and take your own initiative, as well as come up with suggestions for improvements where you see a need. To thrive in the role, you easily adapt to changing circumstances and see opportunities in change. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively and have good documentation skills. The position requires that you have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Requirements:

academic education, preferably with an IT focus, or another direction that the employer assesses as equivalent
at least 4 years of experience in similar tasks
deep knowledge of Windows 11
experience working with SCCM and Intune

Meritorious:

knowledge of Microsoft 365 Defender, especially Defender for Endpoint
experience with Active Directory
experience in large IT environments
experience with Windows Autopilot
knowledge of ITIL
