Candles Scandinavia, with customers such as H&M, Åhléns, Lyko, Rituals, and more, is today a leading European supplier of scented candles produced with 100% plant-based, biodegradable wax derived from Swedish rapeseed. The company offers a sustainable and environmentally friendly alternative to the otherwise paraffin-dominated candle market where raw materials are extracted from fossil fuels. The company's strength lies primarily in a cost-effective method for large-scale production of customized scented candles, entirely made from natural and eco-friendly wax. Candles Scandinavia operates in fresh and purpose-built premises centrally located in Örebro and currently has about 50 employees with a turnover of approximately 200 million SEK. In addition, a newly acquired German company, HashtagYou, is part of the group with an additional approximately 55 employees and a turnover of about 250 million SEK. Candles Scandinavia AB (publ) has been listed on Nasdaq First North Growth Market since November 2021.

About the Role

We are now looking for a Digitalisation Lead for a key role where you will be responsible for establishing, driving, and developing the company's digitalization. The role is new, and you will have a clear mandate to work with the business to create more data-driven practices and efficient processes.

The role is both operational and coordinating, focusing on translating business needs into functioning digital solutions. You will be responsible for collecting, structuring, and making data accessible, with a particular focus on our business system Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

You will report to the Vice President and work closely with management, operations, and external IT partners. The role has an international aspect through collaboration with other companies within the group, but the majority of the work is operationally close and locally anchored.

Main Responsibilities

• Drive the work to make the business more data-driven by collecting, structuring, and analyzing data from business systems and other sources
• With the help of the business, identify and initiate digitalization projects that streamline processes within production, purchasing, inventory, sales, and finance
• Experiment, test, and drive the development of new digital solutions with AI.
• Act as a requirements setter and project manager in collaborations with external IT suppliers and consultants
• Support the organization in IT-related issues and contribute to increased digital maturity among users
• Collaborate with IT and digitalization functions within the group's international companies to share experiences and create common solutions

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in digitalization, IT, system development, data, or AI, or equivalent experience in a digitalization-related role, preferably in a small or medium-sized organization
• Documented experience or strong interest in IT, digitalization, and AI issues, with an understanding of both internal business needs and collaboration with external parties

It is advantageous if you also have any of the following:

• Experience working with business systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, or similar ERP systems
• Familiarity with working with data, reporting, and analysis to create business value and better decision-making
• Experience collaborating with external IT suppliers and consultants and acting as a requirements setter
• Experience independently driving smaller projects and improvement initiatives from idea to implementation
• Experience working in an international environment or with international contacts
