Your Role

Are you an experienced software developer who enjoys technical challenges and is passionate about creating robust and reliable software in a hardware-near environment? Do you want to work with advanced defense systems at the forefront of modern technology? Then this could be the right role for you.

We are looking for an engaged and experienced software developer to participate in exciting projects within an advanced robotic system. As an important member of our dynamic and agile team, you will be part of the development of an already technically world-leading product at Saab.

As a software developer, you will play a central role in the further development of an advanced ground-based air defense system. The system is currently undergoing an upgrade and will in the future be integrated into several different solutions.

Through close collaboration with experienced colleagues, you are expected to contribute to the team with your skills and experience, but you will also receive support and the opportunity to learn and grow into your role. You will be involved throughout the entire development cycle and be able to engage in various parts of the process, including system work, requirements management, design, testing/verification, troubleshooting, and delivery. You will also have the opportunity to try different roles within our agile methodology and development process. Together, you will be responsible for the software at various levels, from hardware-near to application and user interface.

The position is located in Karlskoga.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in technology and software who enjoys working in teams. To succeed with us, we believe you are driven by problem-solving and motivated to find effective and sustainable solutions, regardless of the tools used.

• At least five years of experience in software development
• In-depth knowledge and experience of working in C and C++
• Experience with software testing and quality assurance in any of these languages
• Accustomed to working in agile teams and driven by collaboration, development, and knowledge sharing
• Hardware-near programming is a plus

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may involve requirements for certain citizenships.
