About the Position

The housing support is part of the social psychiatry execution area and is a part of the Individual and Family Services in Laholm.

Housing support is an intervention granted under the Social Services Act (SoL) aimed at providing individuals with support in their daily lives. Housing support is a practical, pedagogical, and social intervention designed to strengthen the individual’s ability to manage everyday life both inside and outside their home. The housing support is tailored to the individual's needs for support and recovery as well as the person's opportunities to develop a functioning everyday life.

Since the needs and requests for support vary, housing support is an intervention that has a versatile content and is individually designed for each person. It is a flexible support that can include various components and serve multiple purposes for those who need assistance in their daily lives. An important component of the support is the relationship between the housing supporter and the person receiving support.

Housing support in social psychiatry is aimed at adults with mental health issues/functional impairments and/or comorbidity. We also work with individuals with cognitive impairments or extensive social issues and have a close collaboration with the municipality's Housing Team to prevent homelessness. We work goal-oriented with our clients in focus.

As a housing supporter within social psychiatry, you primarily work in the clients' homes. The goal is to support clients towards greater independence and remove barriers to development. As a housing supporter, you work together with clients towards clear goals.

Are You the One We Are Looking For?

We are looking for a social pedagogue or someone with another education in social or pedagogical fields that the employer finds suitable, combined with several years of professional experience or knowledge of psychiatry and individuals with mental and cognitive impairments. Experience with comorbidity and neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPF) is also desirable.

Qualifications include training in care and support coordination, Independent Living (ESL), low-arousal approach (LAB), solution-focused and motivational interviewing methodology (MI). Experience with Digital Journal is a plus.

As the role of housing supporter places high demands on structure, clarity, and flexibility, we are looking for someone who enjoys taking personal responsibility for planning and structuring their workdays. You are accustomed to working independently and can make decisions within the framework of your assignment when necessary. A good approach is important.

A B driver's license is required for the position.

About the Employment

Permanent, full-time 100%. Mainly daytime, but some evening and weekend work may occur.

Interviews may be conducted before the application period has ended.

A probationary period may be applied if previous experience in the profession or with the target group is lacking.

Number of positions: 1-2

Start date according to agreement.
