The Role of a Preschool Assistant with Us

As a preschool assistant, you will care for and support children in a 2-5 year old department.

You will be involved in both play and learning, helping children feel safe and curious. You collaborate with preschool teachers and participate in planning activities that suit the children's development. You also assist with practical matters such as meals, rest, and outdoor play. Your work contributes to creating an environment where children can grow, have fun, and learn new things.

You are someone who enjoys collaborating and has a friendly and attentive approach in your interactions. You easily build new working relationships and are good at nurturing those you already have. You take responsibility for your work, are self-driven, and move it forward with a clear focus on goals and results. You have the ability to prioritize and plan your work effectively. You express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written, as this is required in daily work. Personal suitability is highly valued.

Särö Preschool is located in Särö, close to both the sea and nature. Most of the day, we divide the children into smaller groups, and planned activities take place both indoors and outdoors.

Our indoor facilities consist of several rooms, where we have created different learning environments to meet each child's interests and needs, as well as to challenge their learning based on their conditions. This school year, we are focusing on outdoor pedagogy, play-responsive teaching, and our new systematic quality work.

We offer a fixed-term full-time position from March 9 to July 5, 2026, as agreed.
