The Eye Care Unit in Skåne operates mainly within accredited care options. The Eye Unit (part of the Dermatology, Eye, and ENT department) is a facility with both acute and planned outpatient services as well as outpatient surgeries. We have about 60 employees consisting of doctors, nurses, orthoptists, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, and receptionists. The clinic offers a wide range of services including general ophthalmology and subspecialties in cataract and glaucoma surgery, glaucoma, medical retina, pediatric ophthalmology, and neuro-ophthalmology.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

With us, you will work with general/acute ophthalmological outpatient services. You will prepare patients for doctor visits, assist in surgeries, and have your own nursing consultations. The tasks vary depending on your skills and experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed ophthalmic nurse or a nurse with experience/interest in eye care. You must be authorized to work within the Swedish healthcare system. Proficiency in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale is required.

We work in teams and therefore value good collaboration skills. We see that you are flexible and have a desire to develop. Personal suitability will be of great importance.
