We are looking for nurses for our pre- and post-operative department

We are seeking two new nursing colleagues for our pre- and post-operative department in Trelleborg.

The pre- and post-operative department is part of the VO Planned Operations, which includes elective surgical activities where orthopedic and ear, nose, and throat (ENT) surgery constitutes the majority of the assignments, but we also perform jaw, cervical spine, and dental surgeries. The unit consists of high-quality pre- and post-operative care with large volumes. A significant portion of our patients are children.

The post-operative department operates around the clock, free of weekends from Monday to Friday night. We use Multiaccess for scheduling, and working hours are primarily during the day and evening, but some night shifts also occur.

We are actively working to implement Region Skåne's Competence and Service Model (KTM).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse, you will work with pre- and post-operative care for both inpatient and day surgery patients. A large part of our patients are children, and some of them have special needs. We have close collaboration with the staff in the operating room, outpatient clinics, and the care department to optimize our joint patient care.

We work in teams where one nurse and one nursing assistant are responsible for a station.

We care deeply about our patients and constantly work with the patient's needs in focus. Our unit is characterized by high patient flows that require planning, foresight, and the ability to quickly adapt to new conditions. The ability to provide good patient interaction and collaborate with other staff categories within the unit and external actors is of great importance.

We actively work on improvement processes, create various opportunities to participate in competence-enhancing work, and have four training days per year together with surgery and anesthesia.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare and are a specialist-trained nurse in anesthesia, post-operative, or intensive care. You should have experience in pre- and post-operative care. Language skills in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are required.

We see that you have a strong ability to work in a team, are flexible, and have a good ability to prioritize in stressful situations. You are a person who takes initiative and has a solution-oriented approach. You also have a positive attitude and contribute to a good work environment.
