The Orthopedics area (VO) currently consists of three care departments, one located in Lund and two in Malmö. The orthopedics department in Lund is an acute care unit with 21 beds. The profile area of the department is focused on acute patients with common orthopedic diagnoses and patients with prosthesis-related infections, where we offer advanced medical and surgical treatment.

In Lund, there is one of Sweden's sarcoma centers where our department contributes with highly specialized care and treatment for sarcoma patients from southern Sweden. Our broad competence means that you will work with multi-ill patients of varying ages.

At our workplace, we work according to Region Skåne's Competence and Service Model, which provides a clear structure for your learning and career opportunities within our organization. The program is divided into five phases, each including training and learning activities. The development program illustrates lifelong learning with linked learning objectives that are both hospital-wide and specific to orthopedic care. Each phase is linked to a clear competence description. Our goal as a department is to have nurses in all phases.

In the department, we have a nursing council where nurses are involved and work with evidence-based nursing that contributes to development and competence assurance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Working in an orthopedic care department is rewarding and varied. As a nurse, you will work with both basic and highly specialized orthopedic nursing. We actively work with person-centered care, and as a nurse, you will work both independently and together with the team, where the patient is always at the center.

At night, you will work as a nurse in a team with a nursing assistant. Clinical tasks include pre- and post-operative care, medication management, sampling, and rehabilitation.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale are required. Previous work experience as a nurse is considered an advantage.
