Are you a specialist doctor with expertise in psychiatry and want to help develop psychiatric care in the area? We are currently looking for specialist doctors in psychiatry for our general psychiatric clinics in both Helsingborg and Ängelholm, with opportunities to combine work at both clinics and flexibility in arrangements.

The Adult Psychiatric Clinic in Ängelholm and Drottninggatan in Helsingborg both belong to the Adult Psychiatry area (VO) in Helsingborg and are part of the Psychiatry, Rehabilitation, and Aids management. Here, patients with affective disorders, anxiety disorders, and various forms of personality disorders and neuropsychiatric conditions are primarily assessed and treated.

The clinics are at the forefront of development and work with standardized care processes and team-based care. You will thus have the opportunity to work with and contribute to psychiatric care characterized by collaboration, openness, and quality. The clinic consists of approximately 30 employees from various professional categories, including doctors, nurses, social workers, psychologists, rehabilitation coordinators, and medical secretaries.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a specialist doctor, your main task is to diagnose, assess, and treat patients based on current research and established best practices. Here, you often meet individuals with complex and exciting care processes and the need for an in-depth psychiatric assessment where your expertise has great potential to make a difference.

As a doctor with us, you will have significant opportunities to develop both the clinic and the content of care together with the unit manager and other colleagues. We constantly strive to improve and develop our operations, where we welcome your knowledge, ideas, and experience.

Since we receive medical students from basic education, you are expected to contribute to the supervision of all levels of training doctors. As the operation is classified as university healthcare, this means that we actively invest in both research and teaching, with several exciting ongoing research projects in the area.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying are a licensed physician with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Additionally, you have specialist competence in psychiatry. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale are required. You should have completed or planned a course in clinical supervision.

As we work in teams, it is important that you have good communication skills and the ability to collaborate and coordinate various tasks. You work within established frameworks and given guidelines while keeping the patient's best interest in focus. Personal suitability and good collaboration skills are highly valued.

At a university hospital unit, it is required that doctors have pedagogical experience and training. This can be acquired through supervision of, for example, nursing and medical students as well as doctors in training and as co- or primary supervisors of doctoral candidates. Clearly describe in your application any completed or planned pedagogical courses, experience in supervision, and teaching at various levels.
