The area of infectious diseases operates in both Malmö and Lund. The operation has two wards in Malmö and one ward in Lund, as well as outpatient clinics in both locations.

At Infection Ward 3 in Malmö, we have 25 inpatient care places. Here, we value a good care and work environment with good cooperation between all parties in the department, including patients, relatives, and staff. We care for, investigate, and treat patients with many different types of infectious diseases. Examples of this can include sepsis, pneumonia, endocarditis, and tuberculosis. The ward also receives patients who have been treated in hospitals abroad and need continued inpatient care after returning to Sweden. The majority of the patients we care for come in acutely.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nursing assistant in Infection Ward 3, you will work in a team together with nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and doctors. Together with the team, you are responsible for ensuring that the patient receives the basic and specific care required. As a nursing assistant, you will also perform wound dressings, monitor vital signs, take samples, and assist in various examinations and sample collections.

The position involves working both day and night.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a trained nursing assistant with a focus on emergency care/healthcare according to the previous program structure or are a trained nursing assistant within the new program structure who has studied all specializations. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. We prefer that you have at least one year of experience in the profession. If you have worked as a nursing assistant in inpatient care, we consider it an advantage.

As a person, you value and care about good collaboration and interaction. You demonstrate good service orientation and compassion and are used to working independently and taking initiative. Additionally, you have the ability to see how the work should be organized to achieve a good end result. You have a positive attitude and a flexible approach, making it easy for you to adapt to changing circumstances. You also see opportunities for improvement in your daily work and have a genuine interest in development work both for the organization and for yourself as an individual. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

If you have not received your proof of a protected professional title, you should attach your grades (not just a diploma) from your nursing assistant education. If you were permanently employed as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023, and lack proof, please attach your employment certificate and your grades (not just a diploma) from your nursing assistant education. If you do not have the proof, you may be employed as a care assistant on a temporary basis while waiting for the proof.
