The Hereditary Cancer Reception Malmö (MÄC) is a regional clinical reception tasked with coordinating follow-ups for individuals with confirmed hereditary cancer. The Regional Function for Hereditary Cancer (SFÄC) is a knowledge and competence center for the Southern Healthcare Region, providing support for follow-up units that exist or are being established in the Southern Healthcare Region for hereditary cancer.

The operation offers direct patient care and has the knowledge to meet patients with hereditary cancer at different stages of life. Both the reception and SFÄC collaborate closely with various stakeholders such as clinical operations, patient and relative representatives, and the Regional Cancer Center South, to create person-centered care processes. SFÄC has a clear educational and informational mission, as well as supporting and creating conditions for clinical research and monitoring the overall operations within hereditary cancer through, among other things, quality registry data. The goal is to achieve equitable and good care for individuals with rare diagnoses from a lifelong perspective.

MÄC and SFÄC belong to the area of hematology, oncology, and radiation physics within Skåne University Hospital and are part of the Skåne University Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Centre (SUHCCC). With approximately 900 employees, we are one of the largest areas within Skåne University Hospital (Sus) and strive to provide first-class cancer care with a strong connection to research and development in collaboration with the universities in Malmö and Lund.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us, you will be part of the work based on the mission descriptions for MÄC and SFÄC. Your responsibilities include clinical reception work with clinical care, coordination of this, as well as providing psychosocial support and helping the patient manage their hereditary cancer.

The work also includes conducting educational initiatives and information dissemination, support for the implementation of quality registers, and participation in clinical research. You will collaborate closely with other team members in the hereditary cancer team and the regional patient process leader for hereditary cancer.

You will be a central and important person in advocating for a clear, cohesive, and coordinated care process for individuals with hereditary cancer and serve as a supportive and coordinating role for local organizations within hereditary cancer.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are required. Specialist competence in oncology is an advantage, as is experience in clinical reception work and person-centered care. Experience in quality and development work, quality registers, and research in healthcare is also considered an advantage. Furthermore, we would like you to have good knowledge of process work and be skilled at collaborating with various stakeholders in healthcare and in the community at local, regional, and national levels.

We are looking for someone with good communication skills in both speech and writing, who is comfortable speaking in front of larger groups and completing reports. It is also important that you are structured, able to take initiative, and enjoy working both in a team and independently.
