Make a difference. Every day.

We are looking for a new colleague to join us at the Department of Reconstructive Surgery (ORK). Do you want to help develop our operations together with us? Then take the chance and become a part of our wonderful team!

We are a highly specialized and well-functioning day surgery unit. Our opening hours are Monday to Thursday 07:00-17:30 and Friday 07:00-14:00. ORK provides services to surgical specialties in plastic surgery, ear, nose, and throat (ENT), urology, pediatric surgery, breast cancer surgery, hand surgery, and pediatric dentistry, as well as services to children and adolescents from the children's clinic and dermatology. The operations also include services to the diagnostic center (MRI) and psychiatry (ECT). ORK is part of the area of intensive and perioperative care within Skåne University Hospital (Sus) in Malmö.

Creating a good working environment together is important to us, and we strive to provide conditions for individual professional development. We have implemented the Competence and Service Model (KTM), a competence model that offers opportunities for continuous learning and safe, quality care, which is part of the work with the Magnet Model. Our focus is on a well-functioning patient flow with patient safety and security at the center.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Operating room nurses are primarily divided into two specialties: ENT/urology (endoscopy/stones surgery) and plastic surgery/breast cancer surgery. As an operating room nurse with us, you will gain broad competence while having the opportunity to specialize in one of these areas.

As an operating room nurse, you are expected to have advanced nursing knowledge, which means the ability to work independently and lead development in surgical nursing. You should also possess all six core competencies: person-centered care, teamwork, evidence-based care, improvement knowledge and quality development, safe care, and informatics. We work in teams with nursing assistants, nurses, and doctors.

We offer you a stimulating and inspiring workplace, with pleasant colleagues and opportunities for professional development.

As a new employee with us, you will have access to an individually tailored orientation program that we develop based on your previous experiences. We assume that everyone has an individual learning process and see it as a given that you will receive support from colleagues to become confident in your role.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a licensed nurse with permission to practice in Swedish healthcare and who has specialized training in surgical nursing. You have knowledge of Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Previous experience in surgical operations is an advantage.

We hope that you, just like us, value a work environment characterized by personal responsibility, participation, trust, and collaboration between colleagues and managers. You are confident in your role as a nurse and have the ability to make both big and small decisions. Furthermore, you are comfortable working independently, good at collaborating, and have strong communication skills. Personal suitability will be given great importance.

Due to our work with children, a background check against the child protection register will be conducted upon employment.

In this recruitment process, we are working with ongoing selection. We warmly welcome your application!
