The Gynecology and Breast Department at Helsingborg Hospital is a closely-knit unit that conducts both gynecological and obstetric activities. We care for women of all ages and focus on acute gynecological conditions, both urgent and planned gynecological surgeries, as well as gynecological cancer. We have our own intake through our gynecological emergency department. In our department, we also care for breast patients after planned surgery as part of cancer treatment, as well as for postoperative complications.

We are now expanding our team with two nurses/midwives. This is because we are increasing to 14 care places distributed across two care teams. You will work together with other nurses, midwives, nursing assistants, and doctors. Together, we work to provide the best possible care for our patients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse or midwife with us, you will work in a department with almost exclusively female patients. You will perform standard tasks for a nurse or midwife in a care department. We place great emphasis on putting patients first and providing the care that each unique patient needs. We have a nursing assistant who takes care of My Plans on weekdays, a coordinator who manages the flow in the department, and a pharmacist who supports medication management.

During the night, our gynecological emergency department is connected to the care department. A nurse or midwife has primary responsibility for the gynecological emergency department, and there are two care teams in the department. Together, we help each other based on current workload.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse or midwife with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale are required. Previous experience in gynecology, breast care, or emergency care is advantageous but not a requirement.

You who apply are a calm and secure person with a genuine interest and commitment to caring for and providing all patients with high-quality care. As you meet patients at different stages of life, the ability to show empathy, provide good encounters, and offer excellent nursing care is also required. You enjoy working in a team and have good collaboration skills. Personal suitability will be given great importance.
