Make a Difference. Every Day.
Our organization is growing, and we are therefore looking for more nurses who want to help develop our operations! Welcome to the Acute Orthopedic Department in Kristianstad!
The Acute Orthopedic Department is part of the Surgical Operations Area (VO) and is one of the largest operational areas at Kristianstad Central Hospital. We have outpatient services for surgical, vascular, upper/lower gastro, and breast/plastic patients, as well as an oncology treatment unit. The other departments within our operational area include the Acute Surgical Department (KAVA), Surgical Department, Urology and Vascular Department, and Gynecology Surgery Ear-Nose-Throat. We have active collaboration between departments with good development opportunities within the specialties.
The orthopedic operations at Kristianstad Central Hospital (CSK) include emergency surgeries, outpatient services, and an acute care department. The elective orthopedic operations are conducted at the hospital in Hässleholm. Our orthopedic operational area is a university healthcare unit. The ambition level is high, and we strive towards the common goal of delivering high quality.
The Acute Orthopedic Department is at the forefront of care development and patient concern. The work in our department is varied, with no two days being the same. In the role of nurse, you will be challenged and developed by diverse tasks, including both pre- and post-operative care as well as rehabilitation.
In a cross-professional team, you will work together with the patient and other professions to create the best conditions for person-centered care. We focus on the patient, and to make this possible, we strive to reduce the number of patients per nurse.
RESPONSIBILITIES
We are now looking for another colleague who wants to work nights. We welcome both those who have worked for a while and gathered valuable experiences in the profession and those who are new to the role.
Together with the team, you as a nurse will be responsible for the nursing tasks on an operating acute care department, such as planning and performing nursing work and medical treatments. During our pulse rounds, all employees have the opportunity to exchange experiences and knowledge with all our professions. As a nurse, you will act as a group leader in a constellation consisting of nurses and nursing assistants.
Many of our patients also have internal medical conditions, which allows you to continuously develop your competence. In addition to direct patient work, all employees are involved in developing and improving the care of our patients.
We regularly offer internal lectures and workshops to spread and share knowledge. As a newly hired nurse, you will receive a tailored introduction over 6 weeks. As a recent graduate, you also have the opportunity to participate in Region Skåne's clinical foundation year, which includes lectures, clinical skills training, and mentor meetings.
Employment can be in the form of permanent night shifts or according to a basic schedule with rotation day/evening/night, where working hours during a limited period and in agreement with the manager can be arranged for permanent night shifts. Weekend work is included, two out of five weekends. The department applies a wish schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who wants to develop and be challenged in their professional role. You enjoy working in a team and want to contribute to a good working environment, where we all feel joy and community at work. Furthermore, you have a strong commitment to both patient-centered work and the development of the organization. Having a good attitude towards patients, relatives, and colleagues is a given for you.
It is important that you are familiar with and want to work according to Region Skåne's values; welcoming, driving, caring, and respect. We place great importance on personal suitability.
Regarding the formal requirements, you must be a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish equivalent to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale are required.
In this recruitment, we apply ongoing selection. We warmly welcome your application today!
